Surrounded by a forest, Mar E Sol is an upmarket self-catering holiday beachfront accommodation complex.

It is located behind the main beach above the bay and will offer you the best sea view in Ponta do Ouro. A short walk from the complex and you will be in the heart of Ponta do Ouro where you can eat at one of our beautiful restaurants, buy some beautiful hand-crafted goods and RnR which is Mozambique’s most famous drink.

The town has a couple of bottle stores, fish-shop, bakery, market with fresh produce and bottled water and Ice. Cellular phone reception is available on international roaming.

Facilities

Mar E Sol Ponta Do Ouro House #05. Sapphire Dawn the name of House in Ponta Do Ouro,

The house is situated on top of the dune with parking at the top by the Unit. Unit also has stairs at the back door to enter into the house.

There is a main walkway that leads down to the beach gate.

Kitchen:
Microwave; stove & oven; standard fridge/Freezer, kettle, toaster, all the utensils you will need cutlery & crockery for 8 people.

The Deck.
A partial view overlooking Ponta do Ouro Bay. Also a monstrous gas braai. Gas refills are available at reception.

Lounge:
TV only NO DSTV. Lounge suitable for 8 people,

Bedrooms
Room 1: Double bed.
Room 2: Double bed.
Room 3: Two single beds.
Room 4: Two single beds

Bathrooms:
Four Bathrooms. Three Bathrooms with a shower, toilet and basin. One single split shared bathroom with just a Toilet and a basin. and one more shared bathroom with Bath Toilet and basin. The house makes use of a septic tank system. Do not flush foreign objects. Do not use ammonia containing detergents (e.g. Handy Andy).“Pro Bac” cleaning chemicals are septic tank friendly and will be supplied.

The house is serviced once a day. The complex has private secure access to the beach via a main walkway from house to bottom beach gate, with 24 Hour security. An on-site laundry service is available at an additional cost.

Mar E Sol is equipped with a wash bay and enough space should you wish to bring a boat.

Location

Directions

From the Kosi-Bay border post, take any of the dirt roads to Ponta. Rule of thumb is to keep right. The easiest route however is to drive north until you get to the airfield and then turn right to Ponta.

In town drive straight past the market until you reach the campsite, and pass it on your left. Mar-e-Sol is 500m down the road.

The complex entrance is reachable with a normal vehicle.

And then parking is at reception and clients will need to walk via walkway to their booked units.

But to reach the top entrance of the complex you will need a 4×4 vehicle or a vehicle with a high differential lock.

Therefore kids and elderly people may find it difficult to walk up and down the walkways.
