Surrounded by a forest, Mar E Sol is an upmarket self-catering holiday beachfront Residential accommodation complex.

It is located behind the main beach above the bay and will offer you the best sea view in Ponta do Ouro. A short walk from the complex and you will be in the heart of Ponta do Ouro where you can eat at one of our beautiful restaurants, buy some beautiful hand-crafted goods and RnR which is Mozambique’s most famous drink.

Mar E Sol Ponta Do Ouro House #02. Globo Terreste the name of House in Ponta Do Ouro, means “globe” in Portuguese. The name  given by the builders of the house, feeling that they could see the whole earth from this vantage point. It truly is a spectacular view! We hope that you will have as much fun and good times as we do in this magical place, capturing both beauty and simplicity.

Once you have bathed in the warm waters of Ponta Do Ouro, you will always return! Remember Mozambique is a third world country, so please adjust your expectations accordingly.

The house is 10m above ground be aware of heights and the stairs. Furthermore Elderly people might find it a difficult climb and situated right at the top of the Dune in the Complex

Kitchen:
Ice-maker as well as including crushed ice;  fridge & freezer; tumble drier; dishwasher; microwave; stove & oven; water purifier; all the utensils you will need cutlery & crockery for 16 people.

The Deck
An awesome view overlooking Ponta do Ouro Bay up to Mamoli. Also a monstrous gas braai. Gas refills are available at reception.

Lounge:
The mini hifi can connect via USB or Bluetooth to your smart phone or MP3 player. DSTV is available, no card required to use this is included in the daily rate,
just switch it on. Seating for 10 people.

Bedrooms
Four air-conditioned bedrooms can sleep 13 people.
Room 1: Queen Size Bed
Room 2: Queen Size Bed
Room 3: 1 bunked bed and 2 single beds
Room 4: 1 bunked bed and 2 single beds with 2 pull out beds underneath

Bathrooms:
Two of the same identical bathrooms. The house makes use of a septic tank system. Do not flush foreign objects. Do not use ammonia containing detergents (e.g. Handy Andy).“Pro Bac” cleaning chemicals are septic tank friendly and will be supplied.

Directions

From the Kosi-Bay border post, take any of the dirt roads to Ponta. Rule of thumb is to keep right. The easiest route however is to drive north until you get to the airfield and then turn right to Ponta.

In town drive straight past the market until you reach the campsite, and pass it on your left. Mar-e-Sol is 500m down the road.

No open fires allowed.

The house is serviced once a day. The complex has private secure access to the beach via a main walkway from house to bottom beach gate, with 24 Hour security. An on-site laundry service is available at an additional cost.

Mar E Sol is equipped with a wash bay and enough space should you wish to bring a boat.

The complex can only be reached by 4X4 or high clearance vehicle with differential lock.
Each unit in the complex is privately owned. Units are all different from one another.
Each House has their own rates.
Each house is decorated to each owner’s desire / taste.
