Surrounded by a forest, Mar E Sol is an upmarket self-catering holiday beachfront accommodation complex.
It is located behind the main beach above the bay and will offer you the best sea view in Ponta do Ouro. A short walk from the complex and you will be in the heart of Ponta do Ouro where you can eat at one of our beautiful restaurants, buy some beautiful hand-crafted goods and RnR which is Mozambique’s most famous drink.
The town has a couple of bottle stores, fish-shop, bakery, market with fresh produce and bottled water and Ice. Cellular phone reception is available on international roaming.

The complex can only be reached by 4X4 or high clearance vehicle with differential lock.

Mar E Sol Ponta Do Ouro House #01.
Once you have bathed in the warm waters of Ponta Do Ouro, you will always return! Remember Mozambique is a third world country, so please adjust your expectations accordingly.
The house is 10m above ground be aware of heights and the stairs. Furthermore Elderly people might find it a difficult climb and situated right at the top of the Dune in the Complex.
Kitchen:
Standard fridge & freezer, stove & oven; all the utensils you will need cutlery & crockery for 8 people.
The Deck
An awesome view overlooking Ponta do Ouro Bay. With a Gas braai. Gas refills are available at reception.
Lounge:
TV is available, BUT no DSTV in the unit. Seating for 8 people.
Bedrooms
Four air-conditioned bedrooms can sleep 8 people.
Room 1: Double Size Bed
Room 2: Double Size Bed
Room 3: Two single Size Beds that can be joined as a Double Bed
Room 4: Two single Size Beds
Bathrooms:
Two of bathrooms, one has only a shower and the other a shower and bath. The house makes use of a septic tank system. Do not flush foreign objects. Do not use ammonia containing detergents (e.g. Handy Andy).“Pro Bac” cleaning chemicals are septic tank friendly and will be supplied.
Directions
From the Kosi-Bay border post, take any of the dirt roads to Ponta. Rule of thumb is to keep right. The easiest route however is to drive north until you get to the airfield and then turn right to Ponta.
In town drive straight past the market until you reach the campsite, and pass it on your left. Mar-e-Sol is 500m down the road.

No open fires allowed.
The house is serviced once a day. The complex has private secure access to the beach via a main walkway from house to bottom beach gate, with 24 Hour security. An on-site laundry service is available at an additional cost.
Mar E Sol is equipped with a wash bay and enough space should you wish to bring a boat.
Please note:
The complex entrance is reachable with the a normal vehicle.
And then parking is at reception and clients will need to walk via walkway to their booked units.
But to reach the top entrance of the complex you will need a 4×4 vehicle or a vehicle with high differential lock.
Therefore kids and elderly people may find it difficult to walk up and down the walkways.
