Complexo Turistico Da Ponta Malongane with its amazing sandy beach, warm waters and enticing reefs is the perfect place for an exciting family holiday.
We are near the town of Ponta Malongane in Southern Mozambique. Situated a mere six hours from Jo’burg and only four hours from Durban we are the the perfect long weekend getaway. We can even arrange a border transfer from the Kosi Bay border post if you don’t have a 4×4!
The coastline of Southern Mozambique is very lucky to have a myriad of both hard and soft corals, to be home to a vast number of both reef and game fish, ‘tame’ potato bass, dolphins, whales, turtles, rays, hammerheads and even Zambezi sharks!
Due to a civil war in Mozambique, our coral reefs have remained largely untouched for almost two decades. In this time the already astounding reefs have further flourished and are some of the most memorable scuba diving areas in the whole of Southern Africa.
When you arrive our staff will show you the facilities, show you some fridge space in the communal kitchen and brief you on the necessities. All our Dive Camp staff are very friendly, so if you have any questions about diving or the Dive Camp do not hesitate to ask!
Complexo Turistico Da Ponta Malongane boasts 67 beautiful shaded camp sites which are spread out along the 1km area of the Resort.
Campsites C01 – C33 are in the Northern section of the Resort.
Campsites C34 – C53, in the Southern section, are closer to the Dive Camp and boat launching area.
Bush Camp sites 101 – 109 north of camp sites 1 – 33
The camp sites are all individually numbered and demarcated by poles.
All sites are within easy walking distance to beach and one of our 5 public ablution blocks.
There is a plug point (3 point plug, 5 amp) at all campsites
We also have 6/8/12 person sites available.
Notes:
- No appliances with elements to be plugged in as this will trip the power supply.
- It is recommended to use gas.
- No kitchen/fridge/freezer facilities are provided.
- Our campsites do not have braais/grids – please bring your own.
- Our campsites do not have tables/benches.
- No camping or fires are permitted outside of the pole site demarcated areas, the grass area or on the roads.
- No poles are to be removed.
Complexo Turistico Da Ponta Malongane boasts 10 Chalets situated close to the beach and Restaurant:
4 x 4 Sleeper Chalets (B1:B2:C1:C2), each with 2 separate bedrooms and open plan kitchen/living area.
4 x 5 Sleeper Chalets (D1:D2:E1:E2), each with 1 separate bedroom and open plan kitchen/living area.
2 x 6 Sleeper Chalets (A1:A2), each with one separate bedroom and open plan kitchen/living/sleeping area.
1 X 8 Sleeper Guest house, one bedroom with on suite bathroom and double bed, one bedroom with double bed and one bedroom with 4 single beds sharing a bathroom.
Maximum guests:
4, 5, 6 people per unit (dependent on unit)
In all units:
Beds with bedding and linen.
Fully equipped kitchen with crockery, cutlery, fridge/freezer and gas cooker.
Private bathroom with hot water shower.

The Chalets are serviced daily.
Complexo Turistico Da Ponta Malongane boasts 19 Rustic Log Huts which are ideal for scuba divers.
Situated at the Dive Camp, just a few meters from the beach and Nascer do Sol Bar.
There are no plug points inside the log huts.
Plug points are available in the Dive Camp for laptops/cell phones/camera chargers.
Persons staying in these Log Huts have use of the Dive Camp self catering kitchen where fridge/freezer space will be allocated on arrival.
The communal kitchen is equipped with gas cookers, pots & pans and basic cooking utensils.
Adjacent ablutions have hot water showers and power outlets for hairdryers and shavers.
Maximum guests:
2 people per unit.
Log huts comprise of:
2 Twin beds with bedding and linen.
Notes:
No cooking; candles; mosquito burners are permitted inside or on decks of log huts.
There is no crockery/cutlery – please take your own.
Please bring your own towels (beach and bath).
Due to limited space in the Dive Camp, the Log Huts (80%) will be allocated to divers during high season.
Complexo Turistico Da Ponta Malongane offers 4 x 4 sleeper Rondavels with open plan kitchen/living area just a few metres from the beach.
One of the Rondavels has a seperate bedroom with double bed.
The Rondavels are situated close to the Restaurant and are within easy walking distance of the Dive Camp.

4 people per unit.

Fully equipped kitchen with crockery, cutlery, fridge/freezer and gas cooker.
Private bathroom with hot water shower.
Ceiling fans.
Portable braai.
